The Challenge
The utility managed a large and geographically distributed asset portfolio supporting essential service delivery.

More than 250,000 asset records across 30+ equipment and infrastructure categories were brought within structured asset management workflows.
KGS standardised priority asset information, including identifiers, locations, specifications, classifications, status, maintenance history, and other relevant attributes. Data validation processes identified incomplete, duplicated, inconsistent, and outdated asset records, with exceptions routed through defined workflows for investigation and correction.
Maintenance information was structured around asset criticality, service schedules, work history, condition information, and outstanding requirements, giving teams greater visibility into preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
KGS also strengthened workflows connecting field activities with central asset records so installations, inspections, repairs, replacements, and retirements could be reflected more consistently across systems. Dashboards provided visibility into asset status, maintenance activity, backlog, data quality, and other operational indicators.
